SUMMARY:Breakfast Briefing  - Research Evaluation to Drive Alpha post MiFID II
DESCRIPTION:Euro IRP have been invited to present at the forthcoming VTFinTech and Alphametry breakfast event on Thursday 22 November.  Steve Kelly\, Euro IRP Special Adviser\, will be one of the guest speakers discussing the independent research sector post MiFID II\, highlighting aspects of our 2018 Members Study report. \nFabrice Bouland (Alphametry) and Vishnu Thurpati (VTFinTech) are jointly hosting this event to throw light on emerging technologies and solutions that are bridging the gap to ensure quality research drives Alpha for the buy-side.  Expectations of the buy-side for research in the current post MiFID II landscape will also be explored. \nEuro IRP have been kindly offered a limited number of complimentary tickets for this event for our members by the organisers.  If you would like your member firm to be represented at this event\, please write to Susan Westwood\, Membership Secretary by email sue.westwood@euroirp.com.\nEuro IRP will be allocating the tickets on a first come basis\, one ticket per member firm. \nAgenda \n8:15-8:45 – Breakfast & Networking \n9:00-9:15 – Buy-side expectations from research post MiFID II \n9:15-9:30 – Independent Research post MiFID II (Euro IRP Members Study presented by Steve Kelly) \n9:30-9:45 – An objective approach to research evaluation and discovery

DESCRIPTION:This time last year Euro IRP took part in a special panel discussion\, hosted by The Society of Technical Analysts\, to discuss the impending implementation of MiFID II in January 2018. \nOne year on\, The Society of Technical Analysts are meeting again to discuss how things have changed under MiFID II. Euro IRP are delighted to be taking part in this MiFID II panel discussion again this year and will be joined by Jeremy Davies\, Founder of RSRCHXchange and Tim Parker\, CEO of Messels\, an Euro IRP and STA Member.  The panel will be moderated by Tom Hicks\, STA Executive Committee member. \nThe Society of Technical Analysts have kindly extended an invitation to our Euro IRP Members to join their members at this special STA Meeting on Thursday.  Any Euro IRP members wishing to register for this event should e-mail Katie Abberton of the STA directly at info@sta-uk.org. \nDEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION – 12 noon Wednesday 21 November
