DESCRIPTION:NOTICE OF 2020 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING \nThe Annual General Meeting of The European Association of Independent Research Providers Limited (Euro IRP) will be held on Thursday 24 September 2020 \nDue to COVID-19 The European Association of Independent Research Providers Limited will host the 2020 Annual General Meeting online\, to comply with social distancing guidelines.  All Euro IRP members will be sent formal notice of the 2020 AGM.  Euro IRP Members must RSVP to this notice no later than Monday 21 September 2020.All Euro IRP members attending the AGM must be pre-registered to enable authorised access to the AGM. \nDraft Agenda  \n3.00pm-3.30pm (BST) Welcome to the online Members’ Networking Suite\n3.30pm-4.15pm (BST) Annual General Meeting\n4.30pm-5.30pm (BST) Special Members’ Panel Discussion \nRSVP Required by Monday 21 September 2020 \nFollowing the postponement of our AGM in April\, we are delighted to be able to formally announce our 2020 Annual General Meeting will be held on Thursday 24 September\, 2020 at 3pm (BST). \nWe will be hosting the 2020 AGM\, for the first time\, online in a virtual meeting space.  We hope this\, our first virtual AGM\, will offer access to all the membership\, networking opportunities\, engagement with other members and the Executive\, as well as participation in our special panel discussion.  The AGM is our pivotal meeting in the membership’s events calendar and encourage all our members to attend. \nFor Euro IRP to be able to host the meeting securely online\, we will require all members to respond to our notice no later than Monday 21 September 2020.  All members attending the AGM will need to be pre-registered for this event\, with a profile and password\, to access the platform on 24 September. \nOur theme for the 2019 AGM was “The Future\, a time for change” and little did we know what change would be upon us in 2020.  The industry has faced MiFID II\, Brexit and now COVID to challenge us and Chris Deavin will be taking the opportunity to share his thoughts of the last 18 months including the recently published Members’ Survey Report\, as he prepares to hand over the role of Euro IRP Chair this year.   We will be welcoming Julia Ashworth and Pierre-Yves Gauthier as new Co-Chairs for 2020\, and together they will share their vision for the future.  We will leave time for an open Members Discussion with both Julia and Pierre-Yves at the end of the AGM.  Members will require camera and microphone to be able to join the AGM and engage with other members and the Executive during the event. \nFollowing our AGM\, Chris Deavin will be chairing a special AGM Panel Discussion\, as planned in April.  We are delighted to be able to welcome our original guest panel speakers to discuss with Euro IRP their unique perspectives on the industry.  All members who register for our AGM will have access to this special panel discussion. \nGuest panel speakers: \n– Bashar AL-Rehany (BCA Research) \n– Travis Barker (HSBC Global AM) \n– Edward Blad (Independent Research Forum) \n– Mike Carrodus (Substantive Research) \nWe look forward to seeing our members at the Euro IRP 2020 AGM this year.

SUMMARY:Unbundling Uncovered 2.0 Conference 2020 - Substantive Research
DESCRIPTION:700+ attendees joined Substantive Research’s first online conference in June 2020 to debate the key implications of the regulatory and COVID-driven virtual environment on US and European research markets.\n\n\n\nOn 20 October the Substantive Research team will return for their second Unbundling Uncovered 2.0 online conference\, bringing together the investment research industry to discuss topics ranging from research valuation mismatches driven by virtual interactions and the buyside’s move to greater independence in corporate access to the the changes to MiFIDII and defining best practices for investment research procurement.\n\nEuro IRP are delighted to be joining the conference this Autumn by taking part in the first Panel Discussion of the conference\, Dealing with Multiple Regulatory Approaches to Research\, moderated by Neil Scarth\, Principal\, Frost Consulting (1.25-2.15 BST)\n\nWhilst we can not attend conferences in person this year\, as we had hoped\, we are looking forward to being a sponsor at the Unbundling Uncovered 2.0 online Conference\, and having a voice on the panel discussion as well as being present via our exhibition “stand” on Substantive Research’s new conference platform.\n\nWe are incredibly grateful to Mike Carrodus\, Founder & CEO\, Substantive Research\, for extending two complimentary tickets per member firm for this online event.  If you and/or members of your team would like to attend\, please could their names be emailed directly to Alysson at Substantive Research at alysson@substantiveresearch.com ensuring that “Euro IRP MEMBER” is in the subject title line to ensure members qualify for these free tickets.\n\nFollowing the success of the June event\, this follow up conference is set to attract in excess of 700 attendees\, for an afternoon of high quality debate and analysis\, across five discussion panels\, featuring key speakers from the investment research industry.  We very much hope all our members will have an opportunity to attend.\n\nSubstantive Research’s new conference platform will provide a unique opportunity to network with sponsors\, panel speakers and other attendees as well as meet one-on-one during the conference.
