DESCRIPTION:View from the US with Michael Mayhew\, Integrity Research \n4.15pm – 5:00pm Welcome refreshments and Networking\n5.00pm – 6.30pm View from the US presented by Michael Mayhew\n6.30pm – 7.30pm Members’ Drinks with Guests \nWe are very fortunate to host Michael Mayhew\, Principal of Integrity Research\, as our guest speaker\, at an exclusive members event on Monday 12 November. \nMike is one of the leading experts on the US investment research industry.  In addition to founding Integrity Research in 2003\, Mike is a frequent speaker in both the US and Europe on research industry trends and developments and a prolific author for Integrity Research’s  ResearchWatch publication. \nWith over 30 years’ experience as an investment research professional\, Mike will be sharing his unique insights on the American investment research industry post MiFID II\, how it is affecting the buy-side in the US and the unforeseen consequences for independent research providers. \nAs well as MiFID II\, a strong theme in recent ResearchWatch articles has focused on transparent pricing.  Mike will be sharing unique access to some of the results of Integrity Research’s Pricing Study.  The 2017/2018 Study will reflect the insights of over 150 firms including independent research providers. Yet to be published\, this presentation will provide our members with an exclusive insight into the results of the study. \nTo close\, Mike has asked to speak to our members about Alternative Data.  Heightened interest over the past 18 months for alternative data has resulted in unprecedented buy-side attendance at conferences in the US.   Mike will be sharing his thoughts about the alternative data market\, why he believes it is important for all independent research providers to understand the buy-side’s appetite for it\, how they use and value it and how independent research providers can leverage new products and revenues from it. \nWe will be hosting an extended welcome with refreshments from 4.15pm for those members who want to arrive early to speak with Mike Mayhew\, Euro IRP or perhaps to just catch up with other Euro IRP Members.  After the event we will be extending an invitation to join Euro IRP for a drink in the Brand Exchange’s members lounge\, with Mike Mayhew\, Chris Deavin and the Board as well as guests such as Bloomberg\, CSFI\, FTI Consulting and Worldflow\, who have been supporters of our work. \nWe hope this will be an informal\, interactive and above all interesting and engaging discussion group with Mike as he shares his thoughts and insights on the American market. \nSpaces will be limited\, and like our event with Sandy Bragg in 2016\, we are anticipating this event to be very popular with our members.  We ask any members interested in attending this event to email sue.westwood@euroirp.com to secure their place. \nMike Mayhew will be moderating the morning panel “The Research Product – how will it change and what are the consequences?” at the Substantive Research Conference\, on Tuesday 13 November. Chris Deavin\, Chairman Euro IRP\, will take part in this panel discussion representing the views of the association. We very much look forward to seeing our members at our conference stand.  We hope all our members traveling to the UK for the conference\, will be able to join us at this very special member event with Integrity Research the day before.

SUMMARY:Unbundling Uncovered Conference 2018 – Substantive Research
DESCRIPTION:Over 300 attendees attending the Substantive Research’s Unbundling Uncovered conference last year for a day of high quality debate and analysis.  Following a hugely successful New York conference earlier this year\, Mike Carrodus and the Substantive Research team bring the conference back to the Institute of Directors in London for the 4th Unbundling Uncovered event. Interest in this year’s conference has been unprecedented\, with registered delegates looking forward to hearing industry leaders discuss how their approaches to research budgeting\, valuation and compliance worked out in practice post MiFID II.  This promises to be an engaging and exciting conference over one day\, with six panels\, featuring nearly 30 panel speakers. \nConference agenda can be found here. \nEuro IRP will again this year be represented both with a conference stand and on a panel\, with Chris Deavin speaking on the mid morning panel (11.50am to 12.40pm) Panel III the Research Product – how will it change and what are the consequences? – representing the views of Euro IRP.   This panel will be moderated by Mike Mayhew\, Integrity Research\, who will be our special guest speaker at the exclusive members event being hosted the day before on Monday 12 November. \nWe are incredibly grateful to Mike Carrodus\, Founder & CEO\, Substantive Research\, for extending two complimentary tickets per member firm for the event again this year.  If you and/or members of your team would like to attend\, please could their names be emailed directly to sue.westwood@euroirp.com at Euro IRP and we will pass on our attendee list to Substantive Research. \nInformation about the conference will be hosted on our website’s event page next week\, with a click through to the latest agenda for the event.  Whilst we are making changes to our website\, please find attached the latest version of the conference’s agenda. \nWe very much look forward to seeing our members at the conference on 13 November and welcome them to visit our conference stand. \nFor those members traveling to the UK for the Substantive Research conference please be aware that Euro IRP will be hosting a special Euro IRP Member event with Mike Mayhew\, Integrity Research\, the day before on Monday 12 November.  Please see our evite for further details or write to sue.westwood@euroirp.com for a copy. \n
